Does Your "Banner Sign" Say Your Business Will Not Last?

Paulding County has recently updated their sign ordinance, which took effect May 25 this year. One of the ordinance rules says you may place a banner as a temporary sign for thirty days, twice a year. This is true in most jurisdictions. Now may be the time you need to examine your banner to see if you need to consider a permanent sign for your business.

I called on a company in Dallas, Georgia recently and above the store was a banner that was frayed and had lines from wear and tear. When I attempted to convince the owner of the need for a permanent sign, he informed me he had no desire to change until he was made to. Many owners may have this attitude. Why put in the expense when a banner is so cheap?

What does a banner over your business say about you? The first impression is that you are new. The second is how long you plan to be in business. A banner is always meant to be temporary. If you leave a banner up as your permanent sign, you are indicating to your customer you plan to be temporary.

Years ago there was a saying, “You are what you eat”.  In the business world the saying should be, “You are what you portray”. If you are using a banner as your main form of identification, now may be the time to consider your image and let Signs & More, Inc. (770-383-8808) replace that banner and create the real you - a business that plans to be around for a long time.
