Preparing Graphic Files - Vector vs. Non-Vector
Please ensure that all fonts in your artwork are converted to outlines, paths, or curves before sending them to us. Once we receive your files, we will contact you to update you on the status of your order. We provide proofs via email, or you can choose to pick up a hard copy at our Production Facility. If you have any questions about submitting your files, please don’t hesitate to call us at 770-383-8808.
The team at Signs & More will always notify you if your artwork does not appear 100% clear after submission. Vector-based artwork is preferred for best results. Click Here for a cheat sheet about where to find vector images for your logo.
We accept vector files in the following formats (file extensions):
- .ai
- .eps
- .pdf
- .svg
When sending photographs or images, please ensure they are in the highest resolution possible, using .jpg or .png formats. Images sourced from websites may not reproduce well. For .jpg files, we generally recommend a resolution of 300 dpi. If your logo appears low resolution (blurry, fuzzy, or unclear) on your screen, it will similarly print poorly on our large-format printer. To check clarity, zoom in to 400% or more to see if the image becomes fuzzy.
We can correct non-vector files by recreating your artwork. The cost for this service varies based on the complexity of your design. If you choose to have us recreate your artwork, we will also provide your logo in a variety of file formats for your future use (e.g., website, email, printing, etc.).
When saving jpg files, we generally recommend a resolution of 300 dpi. If you see that your logo is low resolution (blurry/fuzzy/not clear) on your screen, this is also how it is going to print out on our large format printer. Change the zoom to 400% or more to see if the image gets fuzzy.
We can fix non-vector files.....
and make them vector. Note the clean lines.
The staff at Signs & More will always let you know if your artwork does not look 100% clear after you send it to us. Vector based artwork is best.
